Before you groom, tack up, or ride, there’s one skill every good horse person needs first: safety.

Barns are busy places. Horses are large, powerful animals. Equipment, tools, feed, and people all share the same space. When everyone follows safe habits, the barn stays calm and horses stay protected.

Learning Goals

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Identify common barn hazards
  • Explain how to prevent accidents
  • Demonstrate responsible barn behavior
  • Create your own barn safety sign
